Preparing for Your Visit
Your first consultation at Karui Aesthetics.
Your first consultation at Karui Aesthetics.
The initial consultation at Karui is an opportunity to speak directly with a doctor to discuss your concerns, understand what options may be appropriate for your individual circumstances, and ask questions without any obligation to proceed.
Before you arrive
To make the most of your initial consultation, please bring the following:
- A list of any current medications you are taking, including supplements and blood thinners
- Details of any known allergies, including allergies to local anaesthetic or any medicines
At Your Consultation
Your consultation will begin with a conversation. The clinic takes time to understand your concerns, your goals, and your medical history before any assessment or treatment is discussed. The appointment is designed to be thorough and unhurried there is no checklist of treatments to work through.
Following that conversation, Dr. Naeem will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your facial anatomy, proportions, and skin condition. The face is considered as a whole, not as isolated areas of concern, before any treatment options are discussed.
Where treatment options are appropriate to your individual circumstances, Dr. Naeem will outline what each procedure involves, what it does not do, what risks it carries, and what the recovery process involves. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and consider your options before any decision is made.
If no treatment is indicated following your assessment, you will be told. The consultation at Karui is a genuine clinical assessment not a precursor to a sale. There is no obligation to proceed at any point.
We Encourage Questions
You will likely arrive with questions and concerns. The first consultation is the right time to raise all of them. Dr. Patel will address every question thoroughly including questions about risks, recovery, costs, and whether a particular treatment is appropriate for your individual circumstances.
If you are unsure what to ask, the clinic can provide a list of suggested questions to consider before your appointment.
After Your Consultation
If a treatment plan has been discussed and you wish to proceed, a follow-up appointment can be booked at the conclusion of your consultation or at any time afterwards. There is no pressure to make a decision on the day.
If you decide not to proceed following your consultation, no further action is required. You are welcome to return for a second consultation at any time before making a decision.
A record of your consultation will be kept on file in accordance with Australian medical record-keeping requirements. This information is held in strict confidence and is not shared with third parties. Please refer to the clinic’s Privacy Policy for full details.
Consultation and treatment costs.
A consultation fee applies to the initial appointment at Karui Aesthetics. The fee will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Cosmetic medicine procedures are generally not covered by Medicare or private health insurance. A full cost breakdown for any recommended treatment will be provided following your consultation, once clinical suitability has been established. The clinic does not advertise set pricing for cosmetic procedures prior to consultation.
Where a treatment plan involves multiple sessions or a staged approach, the full cost of that plan will be discussed and itemised at consultation before any procedure is undertaken.
Costs discussed at consultation are based on individual assessment and may vary depending on treatment requirements.
