Our Philosophy
The Face Does Not Age in Isolated areas.
At Karui Aesthetics, the face is approached as a whole. Changes in one area often relate to changes elsewhere, and understanding these relationships is central to every consultation.
Assess
Comprehensive Facial Evaluation
Each consultation begins with a structured assessment of the full face, including facial anatomy, proportions, volume distribution, and skin condition.
Rather than focusing on a single concern, attention is given to how different areas of the face relate to one another. This provides a foundation for discussing whether any treatment options may be appropriate.
Understanding Individual Goals
Consultations begin with a discussion to understand the patient’s concerns and what they would like to address.
This conversation informs the assessment and helps determine whether treatment is suitable, and if so, what approach may be considered. In some cases, treatment may not be indicated.
Conservative treatment planning
A conservative approach is taken when planning any treatment. Where a more measured option is clinically appropriate, this is prioritised.
If a staged approach is more suitable, this is discussed as part of the consultation. In some cases, this may involve recommending less treatment than initially anticipated.
Honest, Unbiased Advice
Recommendations are based on clinical assessment and individual circumstances. If a treatment is not appropriate, this will be discussed. If no treatment is indicated, this will also be clearly communicated.
There is no obligation to proceed with any treatment following consultation.
Treat
Facial balance and proportions
Where treatment is undertaken, it is planned in the context of the whole face. Consideration is given to the relationship between features, how different areas interact, and the individual’s natural proportions. Treatment is not approached in isolation.
Long-Term Skin Considerations
Skin quality and condition are considered as part of every consultation. Approaches may include supporting the long-term condition of the skin alongside any specific treatment being considered. This is discussed with each patient as part of their individual plan.
Our Approach
We start with the face. Not the treatment.
Each consultation begins with an assessment of the face and a discussion of the patient’s goals.
Any recommendations are based on facial proportions, skin condition, and individual considerations, with a preference for conservative planning where appropriate.
- If treatment is suitable, options are discussed.
- If treatment is not appropriate, this is clearly communicated.
All decisions are made in consultation with the patient, with no obligation to proceed.
